We are pleased to announce that the ZEISS Lattice SIM 3 microscope has been installed and commissioned on the 3rd floor of the Life Sciences Institute. This next-generation structured illumination microscopy (SIM) system will be available for user projects starting in the new year. What the ZEISS Lattice SIM 3 offers:
· High-speed super-resolution imaging – Achieve lateral resolution down to ~140 nm, providing sub-diffraction detail beyond conventional widefield microscopy.
· Large field of view with fine detail – Seamlessly move from broad overviews (e.g., tissue sections or multicellular structures) to high-resolution subcellular imaging within the same dataset.
· Fast and gentle acquisition – Advanced SIM Apotome and Lattice SIM modes enable rapid imaging with reduced phototoxicity, ideal for live or sensitive samples.
· Live and fixed sample compatibility – Well-suited for 3D model organisms, embryos, organoids, tissue sections, and subcellular structures.
· Flexible imaging modes – Includes speed-enhanced modes (e.g., Leap mode) and optimized reconstruction workflows to support diverse experimental needs.
