Fees

Minimum fees are being collected to cover the service contracts and do system upgrades.

We send the invoices to UBC every 3 months for billing:

  • March
  • June
  • September
  • December

Please enter your speed chart or worktag# when requesting training or booking microscopes or workstations

Training fees:

  • $100 for Leica SP5 confocal
  • $200 for STED, Leica Thunder Imager, and Leica Stellaris 5 confocal
  • $5/hr for workstation (Imaris and Huygens Pro) bookings

Usage fees:

For confocal and wide field:

  • Independent Use | Sun-Sat 12:00 AM – 12:00 AM
    • Internal: $15.00/hr or $25.00/hr for Leica Stellaris confocal or $35.00/hr for Leica Thunder microscope
    • External: $25.00/hr
    • Corporate: $50.00/hr
  • Assisted Use | Mon-Fri 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM
    • Internal: $50.00/hr
    • External: $60.00/hr
    • Corporate: $120.00/hr
  • Starter Use | Mon-Fri 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM
    • Internal: $15.00/hr
    • External: $25.00/hr
    • Corporate: $50.00/hr

For super-resolution scopes:

  • Assisted Use | Mon-Fri 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM (All Customers) (needs approval)
    • Internal: $60.00/hr
    • External: $60.00/hr
    • Corporate: $120.00/hr
  • Starter Use | Mon-Fri 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM (All Customers) (needs approval)
    • Internal: $25.00/hr
